The Review and Plan
I sign an NDA, then look at your numbers and where the money actually goes. You get a written summary and a 90 day plan, yours to keep whether or not we work together.
The Work
If it's a fit, I step in as your fractional CFO for a fixed monthly fee. Clear monthly reporting, forecasts you can read, and a steady hand on cash and margin, adjusted as the business moves.

Our Founder
Charles (CG) Morrison, CPA
I started as a staff accountant, helping small and medium sized businesses with the compliance work, and I noticed a gap: growing companies needed real financial leadership, not just a year-end file. That gap is why Black Swan Advisory exists.
Since then I've spent more than a decade leading finance inside multimillion dollar businesses, in the CFO and senior operating chairs across manufacturing, construction, and the trades. I've built the reporting, forecast the cash, and protected the margin from the inside. I also teach financial management and accounting at Camosun College, and I serve as president of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
I hold a CPA (CPA Canada and CPABC), the CPABC CFO Program Certificate, the Certified Fathom Advisor and QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor designations, and a bachelor's degree in economics with distinction from the University of Alberta, where I captained the Golden Bears basketball team and was an Academic All-Canadian.
Outside work, most of my time is spent on the golf course, in the boxing gym, on a trail, or inside whatever book I'm reading.
